On May 24th, our school was hosting a big event called Khmer Literature and Culture festival which the goal is to preserve and share about Khmer literature and Khmer culture to different people and students in Cambodia. Not only Cambodian people but also foreigners could join and learn about our culture. There were many participants from different schools in Phnom Penh and outside of Phnom Penh. on that day, both the first and second cohort involved in this event and there were many booth present in differents places. They were about literature during Khmer Rouge regime, Khmer traditional gears, Khmer songs, Khmer literature history and more. There were also some competitions, including writing Khmer short story, Khmer poem, doing debate and public speaking in Khmer. Along with this, there were some performances such as Khmer Dances and what was really interesting is that there was also a Khmer Clothes Revolution fashion walk showed by both cohorts. For me, I took part as a booth presenter for Geography book of Cambodia and help the first cohort to organize the event as they were the main committee for organizing the event. Overall, I think this is such a great event for other Cambodians to continue keep doing since it’s an event to share the knowledge about Khmer literature and culture to other people as well as preserving this for the next generation to know about our culture. Also, this is an amazing experience for me to learn from and try to make it happening again in the future. I hope that after joining the event, the students will walk away with getting new experiences and learn something new too.
Khmer Literacy – Round 4
នៅក្នុងថ្នាក់ខ្មែរក្នុងជុំនេះ ពួកយើងបានសិក្សាស្រាវជ្រាវទៅលើប្រធានបទផ្សេងៗដូចជា អក្សរសាស្រ្តខ្មែរ ភាសា បណ្ដាំរបស់បណ្ឌិតធនញ្ជ័យ និងប្រទេសខ្មែរ ប្រាសាទ និងកោះ មួយចំនួនដែលបានបាត់បង់ទៅប្រទេសថៃ និងប្រទេសវៀតណាម ។ បន្ទាប់មកពួកយើងក៏បានចែករំលែកចំណេះដឹងទាំងនេះ តាមរយៈការធ្វើបទបង្ហាញ ។ ខ្ញុំមានអារម្មណ៍ថា ខ្ញុំបានសិក្សាអ្វីថ្មីៗជាច្រើន និងបានដឹងព័ត៌មានជាច្រើនអំពីខេត្ត កោះ និងប្រាសាទដែលខ្មែរយើងបានបាត់បង់មួយចំនួនធំ ។ នេះគឺជាអ្វីដែលកូនខ្មែរគ្រប់រូប ត្រូវរៀនស្វែងយល់អំពីប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្រ និងប្រទេសរបស់ខ្លួន ។ ហើយខ្ញុំក៏មានមោទនភាពដែលបានដឹងអំពីប្រវត្តិសាស្ត្ររបស់ប្រទេសខ្លួនទាំងនេះ ។ ជាចុងក្រោយខ្ញុំសន្យាថា ខ្ញុំនឹងខំប្រឹងជួយរក្សាខេត្តខ្មែរដែលនៅសេសសល់អោយបានគង់វង្សយូរអង្វេង ។

Khmer Class- Round 2
នៅវគ្គសិក្សាទី២នេះ ពួកយើងបានបន្តធ្វើការស្រាវជ្រាវអំពីប្រភេទកំណាព្យនីមួយៗសម្រាប់ដាក់បញ្ចូល នៅក្នុងសៀវភៅកំណាព្យដែលពួកយើងមានគម្រោងនឹងបង្កើតតាំងពីវគ្គសិក្សាមុន។ បន្ទាប់ពីនោះ ពួកយើងក៏បានសិក្សាអំពី រឿងកុលាបប៉ៃលិន ដែលនិពន្ធដោយលោកកវីដ៏ល្បីមួយរូប នៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជាគឺ លោកញ៉ុកថែម។ រឿងប្រលោមលោកមួយនេះ ពោរពេញទៅដោយសេចក្ដីអបើរំជាច្រើន និងផ្នត់គំនិតចាស់ៗពីជំនាន់មុន។ ក្រៅពីសិក្សាអំពីសាច់រឿង ពួកយើងក៏បានរៀនអាន ចេះលើកដាក់សម្លេងទៅតាមតួអង្គ និងចាត់តួអង្គម្នាក់មួយៗ។ ចំណែកអ្នកដែលសេសសល់គឺជាអ្នកពោល។នៅពេលពិធីបុណ្យអុំទូក អកសំបុក និង សំពះព្រះខែជិតមកដល់ លោកគ្រូក៏ឲ្យយើងសិក្សាស្រាវជ្រាវអំពី ប្រវត្តិនៃពិធីបុណ្យ គោលបំណង និងសកម្មភាពផ្សេងៗ ដែលប្រជាជនធ្វើនៅថ្ងៃបុណ្យជាក្រុម តាមរយៈអុីនធើណេតដើម្បីឲ្យយល់កាន់តែច្បាស់។ ពួកយើងក៏បានសិក្សាស្រាវជ្រាវអំពីបុណ្យកឋិនផងដែរ។ នៅពេលបញ្ចប់ ពួកយើងក៏បានចែករំលែកចំណេះដឹងជាមួយនឹងមិត្តរួមថ្នាក់ដោយការធ្វើបទបង្ហាញ។ ជាចុងក្រោយខ្ញុំគិតថានៅក្នុងវគ្គសិក្សានេះពិតជាមានភាពសប្បាយ និងទទួលបានចំណេះដឹងជាច្រើនអំពីការអានក៏ដូចជាវាក្យស័ព្ទថ្មីៗឬពិបាកៗ រួមទាំងដឹងច្បាស់អំពីបុណ្យជាតិរបស់ខ្លួនចែមទៀតផង។
Khmer Class- Round 1
Since we started a new school year ( 2018-2019) for the first week we had a workshop about networking which we had been assigned to be one of the successful entrepreneurs and learned how to network with other entrepreneurs, share our business and how to give or exchange the business card. So, In Khmer class, we have learned some behavior and networking skills such as smiling, which is how you wanna smile to the other entrepreneurs, speaking, how you speak with others, not talking or asking about their personal things and what action that we should avoid for example when you coughed, you have to turn away to respect them and not playing or doing the mouth follow what they had said. Also, we learned about standing, how you would stand with the others, not too straight like a soldier or not playing with legs while talking or listening. And we have learned many more skills about this. I felt so happy to take this lessons and it is so important and necessary in our life. Not only this, we also learned how to interview effectively and the teacher divided us into a group of 4 and make a role play of interviewing people. Many groups chose to act a good model interview, however, my team wants to be different, so we act the bad model interview. After this, we just learn about writing the different type of Khmer poems and have to pick some types and write about the moral poem. And since this week we just write poems for the rest of the weeks. For this seven-week, I had learned so much and also had fun at the same time.

ជីវិតអ្នកស្រុកស្រែ ខ្វះការចែទាំដិតដល់
តែងតែមានកង្វល់ តែងនឹកដល់រឿងប្រាក់កាក់។
ចំណែកឯជម្រក គ្មានល្អជ្រកឬក៏ស្នាក់
មានត្រឹមខ្ទមបែកបាក់ ខ្ទមប្រឡាក់ឥតវិញ្ញាណ។
ត្បិតកូនក្រមែនពិត កូនមិនគិតមិនចង់មាន
ឲ្យតែកូនបានរៀន បានសង់ស្ពាននៃជីវិត។
ទោះកើតជាអ្នកស្រែ មិនគិតកែប្រែចរិត
ឲ្យខុសពីការពិត ព្រោះចង់ស្និទ្ធិនឹងអ្នកមាន។
ទោះកូនមានស្បែកខ្មៅ សំបកក្រៅរកសគ្មាន
តែម្ដាយកូនទូន្មាន កំុខ្មាសអៀននឹងកំណើត។
សម្ផស្សកូនអបល័ក្ខណ៍ កាយប្រឡាក់ដូចសំុទាន
គេតែងតែបៀតបៀន និងបំពានលើរូបខ្ញុំ។
